Cindy welcomes a brief consultation phone call to answer all questions and concerns, and discover if you are a good fit.
From Cindy’s experience, most people have a good sense of whether they are a good fit from the first few sessions. She works with a variety of individuals and families, and understands your unique life situations to help guide you to a solution.
Cindy Chisvin provides therapy services to individuals and families in Durham Region, York Region, Thornhill, the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. She does work with clients in a variety of age ranges, from young children, through adolescence, young professionals, and couples. She can meet you where you currently are in life and help find the best possible solution.
The first therapy appointment offers an opportunity to talk about you or your family story, discuss current goals, and the type of aspects you would like to change. An equally important part of the first session is deciding if the working relationship is a good fit. Cindy wants to ensure there is an open and welcoming atmosphere with a vision to work towards your goals.
Appointments are 60 minutes long. If you are interested in shorter or longer sessions, please contact Cindy regarding availability and pricing.
Cindy Chisvin uses an eclectic approach that pulls from a variety of different modalities. Working with you through your consultation and ongoing appointments, Cindy is able to assess which approach will be most beneficial for the changes you are looking to make.

Cindy requires at least 48 hours notice for cancellation without penalty or you will be charged a fee for the missed session.
Cindy Chisvin is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. With over thirty-five years of professional experience, Cindy completed her Masters of Education degree, with a special focus on counselling therapy, and child/adolescent development from University of Toronto. While Cindy doesn’t provide ongoing online therapy services, she is flexible and will do Zoom or Skype appointments with clients that are unable to make a meeting in-person.
